Valet., an independent online men's magazine, is looking for several editorial interns for the summer. Intelligent, rakish and slightly irreverent, valetmag.com has made its mark by combining expert advice and insider knowledge with the latest style and culture news to help men be their best. And we want you to join our small, but growing team.

Valet. was founded in Washington, DC; grew into its own in Los Angeles and Santa Monica, CA; picked up a few tech tricks in San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX; and has currently planted its headquarters in Miami Beach, FL.

With a new office in Miami Beach, this is the chance to take the standard internship experience and turn it into a career building opportunity. We're looking for young men and women who are pursuing a career in media and are hungry for real world experience connecting with an audience through multiple platforms. The ideal candidates will be highly organized and independent with excellent communication skills.

We're hiring both full-time and part-time interns (and will consider virtual intern positions) for a minimum of three months. The internship is unpaid (college credit only), but benefits include a small travel stipend and our office is stocked with small-batch coffee and cold-brew on tap, unlimited tea and fruit water. Interns will also enjoy weekly events and happy hours along with the opportunity to test and take home the various products that get featured on Valet. Best of all, you'll leave with a solid portfolio of real world work.

Intern

Editorial Responsibilities

Follow brand guidelines to ensure a consistent voice and creative direction
Contribute fresh and relevant content ideas
Support editorial team and content production
Research stories (you'll become an astute online shopper and Googler)
Optimize and prepare content for daily stories and larger features using data-driven metrics
Write assigned stories in a timely and professional manner
Assist in on-the-fly photo shoots

Administrative Responsibilities

Organize and manage contacts with brands, sources and contributors
Correspondence and outreach with brands
Manage internal editorial calendar
Coordinate the securing and returning of product samples

Marketing
Intern

Responsibilities

Collaborate with editorial leads on setting social media marketing goals
Research and report on industry best practices
Develop a social media marketing plan that takes in account the magazine's goals and industry best practices. Incorporate stakeholder feedback and refine your plan.
Help set desired social performance goals
Produce an implementation plan
Launch and track the performance of the marketing plan. Inform stakeholders on areas of success and where we can improve.
