  • I understand that ties have grown in length over the years. I'm 5' 10", and all my ties seem to be too long. Without rummaging vintage bins, whose making them shorter these days?

  • You're right. While the average length is around 56 inches, most of the ties today (that we came across when out in the field, measuring tape in hand) was in the 58-60 inch range. That said, we did find some we liked that should work to your advantage. And better yet, you can get them all online.
