The latest cologne from the NYC-obsessed fragrance house Bond No. 9 is a hipster-infused blend that we were told was one of their most masculine, so we decided to give it a try. I opened the graffiti-covered bottle, expecting the top-notes of Parliaments, flannel and vinyl records, but was pleasantly surprised with a light, grassy scent. As the day went on, the sweetness faded into a spicy, woody fragrance—hearty, yet subtle. Which is the best thing about good cologne. And if you don't dig the bottle, the company's taking submissions through the end of the month for an all-new design. Apparently, the subway-window look hasn't been too popular.
