I didn't really know what to think when I was handed a travel ready 1-ounce tube of Breath Palette toothpaste. But as a self-described foodie, who better to try a line that offers such flavors as bitter chocolate, pumpkin pudding and cafe au lait? Both undoubtedly innovative and handsomely packaged, is it any wonder they hail from Japan? The 32-flavor line was introduced a few years ago and has been steadily gaining ground here in the States. And while there was an initial burst of flavor (the California Orange was my favorite), what I particularly liked was that it then dissipated into a subtle minty finish. Plus, it's not rabidly foamy like the drugstore stuff.
