The
Perfect Duffle

The title pretty much sums it up, but allow us to clarify. This is the ideal, all-purpose, go-anywhere summer weekender bag. Drawing inspiration from a photo of designer Michael Bastian heading out of Manhattan one summer afternoon, this was another military surplus find. The duffle is technically a standard-issue cargo bag. Double-stitched from heavy duty, water-resistant canvas and brass hardware, it was made to transport everything from parachutes to night-vision goggles. Meaning it should sufficiently keep your rumpled button downs, swim trunks and iPad safe. It's lightweight yet durable. Stylish, yet doesn't cost much—keeping cash in your pocket for a summer trip (or at least beer money for a friend's pool party).
