Short Run Shirting

For the past few months, the southern shirtmakers at Richmond-based Ledbury have been experimenting with Short Run Shirting. Every Tuesday for the rest of the year, they'll unveil a specially made shirt. Each new style is available through that Sunday, or until it sells out—whichever happens first. This gives designer Paul Trible free reign to experiment with other fabrications like denim, flannels and corduroy. And it gives the customer a whole lot of variety and even an opportunity to vote on their favorite styles (which will then get bumped into the core collection). The shirts cost between $125-$165, depending on the fabric, and this week sees the debut of a sharp blue flannel dubbed the Roosevelt. Made of a soft, brushed cotton twill from Italian textile company Tessitura Monti and finished with mother of pearl buttons, this patriotic tattersall is topped off with a slightly rounded European club collar. Get 'em while they're hot.

$135, available today

Styling Tip

The shirt has been cut with a shorter tail so it can be worn untucked.
