Southwick for Epaulet

The thing about a tweed sport coat is that the thicker fabric can get itchy, and the good stuff—genuine Harris Tweed, is pricey. Epaulet co-owner Mike Kuhle noticed this and sought to create a balance between comfort, fit, and affordability. His Southwick collection is made in the USA and contains casual details like patch pockets and elbow patches. The jackets are half-canvassed, a meticulous process that can drive up the price, but helps them keep their shape in check. Perhaps more amazing is the fact that he's managed to keep the costs under a thousand dollars. Ranging in price from $650, any one of these sport coats is a worthy autumn investment.

FYI

There are seven different fabric choices, from camel hair to hopsack. This one is crafted in 100% Wool Donegal Tweed from Ireland.
