The Cashmere Scarf Spectrum

Styling Tip

Need some tips on how to tie a scarf? Here's a few.

Cashmere wool is one of the more luxurious winter fabrics. Soft, strong and light, the comfortable texture lends itself well to a variety of cold-weather staples like sweaters, hats and glove linings. We prefer a nice cashmere scarf over acrylic or lambswool—they don't itch, they keep us warm, and they add a touch of class and indulgence to any outfit. Herewith, some of our favorites in a range of prices:

John W. Nordstrom, $73.90

Currently 20% off, these solid scarves from Nordstrom fit the bill in more ways than one.

Drake's, $265

A feather-weight style made in Scotland from super soft wool with a subtle tonal grey pattern.

Salvatore Ferragamo, $550

Details like yellow tipping, gray stripes and fringed ends add a collegiate feel to this lightweight but warm muffler.

Alexander Olch, $275
