Tartan Trench Coat

Despite the news that Ralph Lauren will be shuttering its Rugby brand on February 2, its e-commerce site remains up and the stock plentiful. Right now Ralph Lauren is in the midst of their annual Friends and Family sale, where there are great discounts to be had across their multiple brands. We spotted this printed trench coat at Rugby and it reminded us of what we'll miss about that brand: elements of classic prep infused with a modern fit and touch of attitude. The tartan print is usually something you'd find on the liner of a coat like this, rather than the outside. We dig the pointed collar and throat latch for blustery days, but also that the pattern is subdued enough to wear over a solid charcoal suit, or a denim jacket, chinos and sneakers. Plus, at this price, we can't see it staying in stock for long.
