When it comes to gear meant for the slopes, it's hard to find stuff that'll perform the way you want it to and fit like the tailored clothing you're used to. It's also worth supporting smaller, independent brands that set out with an honest mission. For Owner Operator, it's making the type of clothing that's tough enough to shred powder in, but not so technical that it would look out of place in the city. A New York-based brand, the designers oversee everything from concept to production. Everything is made in the USA and fabrics are sourced both here in the States and from Japan. To top it off, the guys behind the brand are their harshest critics, and live for the test runs where they get to push their gear to the limits—after all, that just comes with the territory.
