Todd Snyder

Iowa-born Todd Snyder got his start at Badower's, a Midwest shop renowned for its great tailoring and superb taste in menswear. That earned him a job with Ralph Lauren, followed by stints at the Gap, and most recently J.Crew, where he was Senior Vice President of menswear. Snyder is the man behind the Ludlow suit, and introduced the company to other, like-minded brands like Timex, Alden and Red Wing. He also oversaw the opening of their TriBeCa Liquor Store. Last year, he launched his namesake line of high-end menswear staples. It's clear that Snyder has a great eye for the kinds of garments guys will keep reaching for over and over. We're talking easy-wearing pieces like cafe racer leather jackets, henleys, plaid sport shirts and perfectly-cut denim and chinos. Yesterday, he launched his web shop, making the casually luxurious wares all the more accessible. Here are some items we're mulling over:
