The iPhone 5 only just out, but already a third-party has stepped in to fill the need for cases that aren't tacky—J.Crew. As soon as the phone launched, the brand started taking pre-orders for its luxe leather iPhone 5 case. Available in three rich leathery shades—brown, red and a textured black—the branding is fairly minimal, but the overall look is sleek enough not to detract from the phone's new dimensions. Not surprising, given that J.Crew's CEO, Mickey Drexler, has sat on Apple's board of directors since 1999. It's the best way to preserve the clean lines the iPhone is known for, while protecting that precious investment (and looking pretty cool while doing it).
J.Crew just opened their second Ludlow Suit Shop at Copley Place in Boston with all the charm and services of a classic haberdasher. In addition to their popular suits and shirting, they offer in-store suiting experts, tailoring, monogramming and a door-to-door courier service.
