The fishtail parka is the often-ignored member of the military jacket family. Known for the backsides that resemble fishtails, they also snap into the back of the jacket for a straighter hem. Originally meant for rain and other precipitation, it's since been appropriated by Mods on Vespas and more famously, The Who, when they released their sixth album Quadrophenia. It's recently seen its way back into modern collections, from streetwear brands like Stussy and Supreme to this more accessible version from the Gap. Made of light cotton in a versatile olive pattern, it can now be had for less than a hundred bucks.
