As someone who writes for a living, I make it a point to always have something to write on. Sure, Field Notes and Posalco are nice, but I'm also a forgetful person, and losing those notebooks can get pretty costly. Which is why I've recently become a fan of Muji's paper products. The Japanese lifestyle emporium offers simple, recycled paper notebooks and handsomely engineered ball point pens at crazy affordable prices. Plus, they're made in Japan, which give them an extra air of exclusivity—without the price tag. I usually stock up on a bunch of these logo-free notebooks, which is easy since they sell them in sets of five. So I can have a book at the office, another in my bag and a few more at home, just in case one goes missing.
