Styling Tip

Repurpose chambray shirts and oxfords for the spring by wearing them as a shirt jacket over easy-wearing basics like the pocket tee.

The Pocket Tee Spectrum

With the move towards minimal menswear, graphic tees have fallen out of favor while solid basics have been picking up steam. Get a little bit of both worlds with the simple pocket tee. You don't have to go with a logo on the pocket, but subtle details like contrast pockets, colorblocked stripes or embroidery add a little bit of extra style without going overboard. They work great as a layer, but also look great on their own. Here are few we've got our eyes on:

Hanes, $13

100% pre-shrunk cotton shirt that's been pigment-dyed for a worn-in look.

J.Crew, $45

A big block stripe and slubby cotton gives this staple some character.

Battenwear, $68

A NYC-inspired fabric pocket makes this baby blue tee stand out from the pack.

Club Monaco, $40

A subtle chambray stripe above the pocket adds a cool detail.

BWGH, $62

A cotton/poly blend with embroidery on the chest for some exotic flair.

White Mountaineering, $195

A buttoned pocket cut from a folk-inspired jacquard fabric adds a shot of style.
