The Postmodern Desk Lamp

Styling Tip

Is space a precious commodity? Consider repurposing a shop desk as a work desk, the lamp still fits in perfectly with the design.

Designed by Robert Sonneman and Peter Polick, the Quattro LED Task Lamp combines an environmentally-friendly LED light with a sleek, modern aesthetic. Consisting of two perfect squares connected by rectangular arms, the minimal design makes for a modern addition to any home office or nightstand. It comes in a matte black finish, along with a raw aluminum or a black, red and yellow version that recalls Dutch De Stijl artists like PIet Mondrian. Which makes sense, considering this is essentially a functional piece of sculpture. After all, Sonneman has been lauded by the art world for his design work in the past. His work has been displayed at the Chicago Institute of Art, National Design Museum and the MoMA. Just from looking at the beautiful simplicity of the Quattro lamp, it's easy to see why he's so lauded.
