Shearling Coats

When it comes to manly outerwear, a shearling coat has got to be up there with the best of them. A descendant of the bombers that were standard for fighter pilots before planes had enclosed cockpits, the jackets also found work keeping cowboys warm. These days, it makes for a soft and ultra-cozy trim or lining for a range of coats. And brands both big and small have embraced it this winter. Of course, a luxe material like sheepskin with the wool still on it doesn't come cheap. But if you don't have the scratch for a full shearling jacket, there are some decent faux options.
