The Arrivals

When it comes to buying outerwear, you want something good looking, but more importantly, you want a piece that that will do its job of protecting you from the elements. Which is why you can't really skimp on jackets or coats—they take a beating and will quickly fall apart if they're not well made. But that's not to say that all outerwear has to be a credit-card-maxing investment. Which is the philosophy of newly launched label The Arrivals—quality materials, sharp designs and American made craftsmanship without robbing you of rent money. Founded by a former architect who perfected his designs and style with tours of duty in Amsterdam and New York, the jackets are perfectly tailored to the current sweet spot between sharply tailored and slouchy. Prices are attainable (but not cheap) especially considering the high standard of materials. Herewith, a closer look at the tightly-edited inaugural collection.
