Outerknown's West Coast Takeover

Outerknown, the new west coast menswear label co-founded by eleven-time world champion surfer Kelly Slater, has quickly made a name for itself in menswear circles and it's easy to see why. It blends modern fabrics and functionality with an easygoing, understated style using sustainable manufacturing. The resulting line is basically an entire wardrobe's worth of wearable essentials. But being a new brand means that it's not easy to find. Thankfully, Outerknown has just set up residency at one our favorite Los Angeles shops, Wittmore.

The store was redesigned to immerse visitors into the world of Outerknown. Oversized wooden fixtures, inspired by wooden shipping crates, anchor the space, and are filled with vintage books, film cameras, fins and other objects symbolizing the contents of a traveler's bag. "We're excited to have the opportunity to showcase the collection," says Outerknown's creative director John Moore. "And really bring the brand's story to life in a multi-dimensional environment for people to discover." But if you can't make it to Wittmore, they've put the whole collection online so you'll still have access.
