Why

Origins

The legendary outwear first appeared around 1905, and it was meant as a protective piece to accompany rugged denim pantaloons.

How to Wear It

Pull a denim jacket over anything. Layering one under your trench or blazer will provide a little insulation and some rugged style.

What to Look for

A trim fit, well made and sturdily attached buttons and plenty of pockets. Keep an eye out for interesting non-denim versions too.
