Menswear veteran and Valet's Editor at Large, Michael Macko, presents an insider's take on what's new and noteworthy in the world of style.

Just the Facts: Blazing a Trail

Who:

Rogues Gallery

What:

Blaze orange cord supply pant, $175

Where:

When:

Now

Why:

Olive drab is definitely the big color of the season and I've fully embraced it, but I also like a pop of color in my wardrobe. And fortunately so does Alex Carleton, the founder and owner of Rogues Gallery. These blaze orange pants are pretty much perfect, in my opinion. They look like they would be standard issue for Maine Game Wardens, except these come in a soft, thin wale corduroy that's already been broken in. If all that doesn't win you over, all you have to do is look inside at the mallard-print flannel waist detail that was inspired by a hunk of vintage wallpaper the RG design team found during their research for the collection. Go bold or go home.

FYI

Blaze orange is also known as safety or Omaha orange.
