At Richard Chai's men's show, only his second real showing of the developing line, we got a preview of his new kicks. Chai, a self-described sneakerhead, designed a collection of shoes in collaboration with Keds that will hit stores in January—just before the spring clothes start hitting the racks at shops like Odin and Barneys. According to the designer, when he approached Keds about using some sneakers for the runway show, they suggested the possibility of a Richard Chai designed range. The collection includes both low- and high-tops which zip instead of tie, in gray leathers and the same
off-white windowpane plaid from which Chai cut some of his loose, layered looks. This easygoing meets modern thing definitely seems to be working for him.

With nearly every airline imposing a baggage fee nowadays, if you can get away with flying with just a carry-on, do it.
