By definition, a chukka boot is simply an ankle-length shoe with three to four eyelets for lacing. The name is derived from the game of polo, as early models were akin to the boots worn by British polo players. But these aren't your average chukkas. Crafted from both a soft suede and burnished leather, then finished with waxed cotton laces, the Dawson boot from Stacy Adams is a leaner, meaner take on the standard chukka or crepe-soled dessert boot. One that works in almost any occasion. The classic brogue punched detailing around the ankle and a slim, slightly elongated toebox make for a refined look that easily works at the office, out on a date or any other occasion that calls for a more dressed up shoe. But the generously cushioned footbed and red brick rubber sole give them a relaxed, laid-back feel.

A recent test drive of the two-tone chukkas revealed that while they have the look of a dress shoe, they feel much more like a sneaker. They're extremely lightweight and right out of the box, the shoes are incredibly comfortable. Meaning, you won't waste any time having to break them in. The EVA outsole is cushy with the added benefit of a micro-diamond textured design engineered to grip the ground. They come in three shades, but we're partial to the snuff brown, which complements everything from jeans and chinos to tweed trousers to navy and grey suits. Which is good, considering you can wear these with all of the above.
