Enduring Classic

The

(Nearly)

Indestructible

Sneaker

We ask a lot of our canvas kicks. They've got to look good, feel great (even when worn sockless) and be able to put up with all sorts of seasonal abuse. It's ironic then, that white is often the color of choice for summer sneakers. And while there are a slew of classic styles up to the challenge, few will ever outperform the Vans Old Skool. What's more, they look just different enough from the other white canvas kicks everyone will be sporting. The classic skate shoe was the first to bare the brand's now-iconic side stripe and features a low-top lace-up silhouette with a simple canvas upper with metal eyelets. The padded tongue and heel collar add extra comfort, especially when socks aren't worn. And just try to wear down the signature waffle outsole. When they start to look a little dingy, just throw them into the washing machine. Trust us, they can take it.
