Summer-Ready Jeans

By now, it's been beaten into your subconscious that you can wear jeans anywhere, so long as they're made of dark, inky blue denim. And we're not here to throw our beloved raw selvedge under the bus. We love them. You love them. We're simply making the case for going lighter this summer—way lighter. Light enough for some to start throwing around retro terms like "acid-washed" and "stonewashed." Heavily laundered and cut from lightweight denim fabrics, these jeans are definitely softer than their rigid and raw counterparts, which makes them ideal for this time of year. Unlike the high-waisted versions of decades past, today's look more like classic jeans that have been worn and washed and have clocked plenty of time in the sun. They're relaxed, comfortable and casual. Not unlike the cotton shirts, unstructured jackets and suede shoes that you'll be wearing them with all summer long.
