Band of Outsiders' 2008 Holiday Collection

Scott Sternberg, the boyishly charming designer of Band of Outsiders, made a name for himself with retro-chic clothes that are often just as boyish and charming. But his new holiday collection has a grown-up polish thanks to velvet bow ties and silk dinner jackets in such un-holiday colors as inky plums and mustardy golds. The clothes are modeled by photographer Paul Jasmin, who the designer felt was a natural fit. "I met him a while back and we became friends," says Sternberg, who shoots every look book himself with a simple Polaroid camera. "We just shot in and around his place, which is in this historic L.A. building—it was a lot of fun." (Photos: Courtesy)
