Unassuming and hard-wearing, tweed started out as all-weather hunting gear with a slight camouflage effect. Its signature heathered coloring is obtained by twisting different colored wool threads into a multii-ply yarn. And it's back this season, in slightly lighter weight versions of the traditional woolen patterns.
Skip the suit and pair a blazer with items that are as rugged as they are refined—a fisherman's sweater, dark denim, gray flannel pants and/or some boots.
