In the world of small scale, locally-sourced goods, keeping the quality high usually means high prices to match. But for brothers James and Johnny Entringer of the newly launched brand St. Liberty, quality goods and affordable prices are not mutually exclusive. You've just got to be clever about it. Like starting small with a simple online shop stocked with a tightly edited collection of the kind of goods all guys can benefit from. That means old school aviators accented with leather, gingham pocket squares and T-shirts washed for softness. With a nod to the past, the guys source nearly everything locally in their native Texas hill country—leather from Fort Worth, antique dimes from the resident coin collector—and take advantage of the craftsmen in Austin and San Antonio for production. "We're constantly changing our product pictures to reflect a new batch of raw materials, but it keeps us on our toes," says James. "And it keeps the customers watching for what's new." Stay tuned for some equally affordable bags coming later this fall.
