Hemingway Style

Every summer, I get in the mood to read some Ernest Hemingway. Ideally in a hammock, with a cocktail nearby. Perhaps it's because he's so closely tied with a life spent traveling, sailing and exploring sunny, remote and tropical places. Today marks the first day of the 32nd annual Hemingway Days, a week-long love fest in Key West celebrating the legendary outdoorsman, writer and all-around American icon who once called the town home. Of course, if you can't make it down to Florida for the marlin tournament, arm wrestling championship or popular look-alike contest, you can celebrate what would've been Hemingway's 112th birthday July 21 by sipping his signature daiquiri or donning some throwback staples that look as sharp now as they did then.
