

As we embrace a new decade, we've simultaneously abandoned the bookstore. The Kindle is eliminating the book as we know it. Me? I'm still buying books—Assouline books to be exact. I'm stacking them up to create a coffee table (two rows of four stacks). But I'm buying used. Not only are they economical but character is included, free of charge. The end result is functional, unpretentious and witty.
