Intel:
Inside E. Tautz

The blogosphere buzzed last fall when E. Tautz was revived by designer Patrick Grant. The British bespoke tailor was known in the late 19th century for military uniforms and later for their natty yet sporty country clothes. The Robb Report looks at Grant's plans for the label, which is centered around the same ethos as the original line.

As in Tautz's days, the line borrows heavily from the Hebrides Islands and includes eight-ply cashmere fisherman sweaters and lofty wool pea coats, as well as suits and sport jackets fashioned from soft Shetland yarns and vintage Harris tweeds, now modernized with a burst of bright color.
