Each week, Of a Kind selects a burgeoning designer brand to feature. They showcase the designer's inspirations and training, then work with them to develop a limited-edition piece, complete with a certificate of authenticity signed and numbered by the designer. Today's item of the day? A tie by California-based Apolis for $65. The 2 ¼ inch linen tie is cut from Italian fabric, hand stitched in Los Angeles and finished with a tea stain that brings out the linen's texture. An ideal spring tie, but there are only a handful, so move quickly.
