If you haven't been to Australia (or know someone who has), you may not be familiar with the legendary Tim Tam. Allow us to describe the cookie (or biscuit, as locals say). A rich fudge, sandwiched between light, crispy chocolate wafers enrobed in creamy chocolate. The lovechild of an Oreo and a Kit Kat, they're something of a national treasure. Made at the Arnott's Biscuits plant just north of Sydney, they were once only available down under. But thanks to Pepperidge Farm, a corporate cousin of Arnott's, they're now available in the US, but only from October to March. So you'd better act fast.
$3.99, at Target and grocery stores
Boxes of cookies sold each year by the Girl Scouts.
The American shipment is packaged in special Pepperidge Farm wrappers and then travels 7,450 miles by ship from Sydney to Oakland, CA.
