The Double
Blade Tie

If this idea's been done before, we haven't seen it. Both ends of Fine and Dandy's new "Double Blade" tie are the same width, and they're cut from different (but coordinating) fabrics. There's no loop to tuck the back end into as both blades are made to hang freely. We're surprised we haven't seen more like it, considering the different ways you can wear a tie these days. Made in New York, from a third generation tie manufacturer, Fine and Dandy's testing the waters with their first design, a preppy embroidered silk and slim stripe in an ideal 2 ¾-inch width. If the response is good, expect to see more styles later this summer.

  • Fine and Dandy launched in the fall of 2008.
