... for Less

There are all sorts of occasions to suit up for this summer, from weddings to impending job interviews for recent graduates. And while you may be in need of a tuxedo or simply a suit, that doesn't mean you're in the market to buy one. After all, how many black tie events are you really going to with your current lifestyle? But there hasn't been many options in the past. Rental shops offer outdated, ill-fitting and worn out tuxedos, and those in need of an actual suit in a hurry were simply out of luck.

But a new Los Angeles-based company called The Black Tux now offers a more modern option for gents in need of a quick formal wear fix. Cut in both classic and slim fits from high-end super 150s merino wool, the jackets and pants come in a range of styles—from a timeless black tuxedo and an of-the-moment midnight blue option to sharply tailored suits in shades of grey. You can customize your look with choices in shirting, ties and accessories.  And instead of the plastic shoes offered by most rental shops, they provide a range of footwear, from simple leather oxfords to classic Chuck Taylor sneakers.

What's more, the brand has tried to remove the aggravation from the ordering process. By cutting out the middleman, their prices are cheaper than most national chains. Your suit arrives in a neatly packed box a week before your event to ensure a proper fit. Then simply send it back when you're done. Shipping is free both ways. So if you don't go to enough black-tie events to merit buying a tuxedo, or need another suit for a second job interview (before you've landed the job that'd require a suit), this site promises to be your secret sartorial arsenal.
