The (Nearly) Indestructible

Summer Bag

The Lenore capsule backpack by California bag brand Ignoble doesn't mess around. This isn't a "city tote" or a "man's day bag," but a serious piece of transport equipment for the frequent traveler. Made from ballistic nylon and fully lined in ripstop nylon, the bags are hand assembled in a military-grade soft goods production facility. Which would explain the heavy duty YKK zippers, airmesh back, web straps and overall badass appeal. As for more pragmatic features, there are two quick stash pockets on the pack's exterior along with a roomy interior, complete with a book sleeve that could store a small laptop or iPad safely. What's more, the bag itself weighs just over a pound and can be carried as both a backpack or as a weekender style duffle.

  • Ballistic nylon was originally developed by the DuPont corporation as a material for flak jackets to be worn by World War II airmen.
