You've got to hand it to the people of Duluth, Minnesota—they know how to make a damn good bag. Of course there's Duluth Pack, but lately we've been seeing more totes, packs and bike bags from local outfitter Frost River. As attractive as they are durable, the company was formed when some of the creative types from Duluth stepped out on their own and they've been building a growing following ever since. What we really appreciate (even more than their old school catalog illustrations), is that the pieces are crafted from hard-wearing yet breathable waxed cotton and bridle leather. Which means they're not only water-resistant and nearly indestructible, but will develop a rich patina that will only get better with each year of use. Which, we imagine, will be quite a few.
