When it comes to great American badasses, Johnny Cash is up there with the best of them. A pioneer of rockabilly style  and rock and roll in the 1950s and '60s, Cash worked hard and played hard. Hell, the man lived hard and yet he always looked presentable. There was a subtle, poetic balance to his personal style back in the day—crisp white shirts, polished wing tip shoes and slicked back hair with just enough rumpled, worn-in details to look authentically nonchalant.
