Tweed

Tweed's a fall favorite for good reason. The flecked wool fabric can be worn with jeans and a sweater on the weekend or a pressed shirt and tie to the office. It's old school and masculine and warm as hell to boot. Harris Tweed, hand-woven in Scotland for more than a century, is still the best but will definitely cost you. However, eBay has become a virtual treasure trove for the cash-strapped trad. We bid on this beauty and won it three days later for a mere thirty bucks. Just remember that for most vintage pieces, a trip to the tailor's likely due.
Bids start at $10, on eBay.

  • Sport your tweed jacket with another trad standby: argyle socks.
    $23 at J.Press.

Summer Shoe Funk

Question

I've been going sockless for a while now. The only problem is that my shoes have started to smell, um, gross. Are there any tricks or products you'd recommend to destroy the funk?
