A Plaid Attitude

What is it about winter that makes plaid so appealing? Is it because it's the holidays, and you want to wear something seasonal without going overboard? Is it because those storied tartans have an off-duty, laid back charm? Or is it because sporting a plaid shirt at the office with a timely wool tie seperates you from the other guys wearing standard solid button-downs? Whatever the reason, we're seeing a lot more plaid shirts lately. Not lumberjack flannels, but trim dress shirts with a small, muted check. Wear them with your everyday denim, roll up the sleeves and pull on a puffer vest or dress them up to inject some life into a dark wool suit or a tweed blazer.
