The Promise
"Invented in 1957 by a Japanese pharmacist, Yu-Be is the #1 selling medicated, vitamin-enriched skincare cream in Japan today." With a uniquely high glycerin content, the moisturizing cream is packed with skin-nourishing antioxidants like Vitamin C and E along with inflammation-fighting camphor. After a rough winter, it may be just what your skin needs.

The Trial
We were intrigued by the simple, old school packaging and its head-to-toe hydration promise. The stuff tackles all sorts of parched skin—from your face and chapped lips to rough elbows or hands. We applied it after washing our face at night and then dabbed some on after shaving in the morning. There's a pomade like texture, and a little goes a long way. A jar could easily last six months. The camphor definitely gives it a slight menthol scent, but it fades after a few minutes and frankly, helps wake you up in the morning.
The Results
Leave it to Japan to create something that's pared-down, crafted with a focus on quality and incredibly effective. Given the thick texture of the glycerin-based cream, you'll be shocked by how quickly the concentrated formula absorbs into skin without leaving any greasiness behind. And while it seems to disappear into skin, the moisture stays locked in for hours. And because the ingredients are so soothing, the cream heals all sorts of damage—from red, flaky skin and scaly, cracked hands to acne and razor burn.
