It all started with an old Bianchi. Geoffrey Franklin inherited one of the Italian-made bicycles from his father. After having it powder-coated in classic cream and brown, he wanted to kit it out in some equally old school leather accessories. When he couldn't find any quality options, he took to his garage and started crafting some himself. His wife started selling them on Etsy and a few years later, their Walnut Studiolo line of leather goods and gear has garnered a following with the cycling set and beyond. From a helpful behind-the-seat trunk made of leather and wood to simple, yet beautiful carrying apparatuses and a multi-purpose cinch strap ideal for stowing a six-pack or umbrella, the pieces are as handsome as they are handy. "My goal is to make beautiful, durable and most of all functional solutions to everyday problems," says Franklin. "And I field-test all my products until I'm comfortable with them before listing them on our shop."
