Necessity is the mother of invention, as they say. Billykirk's new “small batch” collection was born out of the interruptions they experienced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As many of their usual vendors and manufacturers were shut down, they were forced to rethink designs and utilize their surplus and archive. The end result is a bag like this, made with premium materials like 10.10 oz waxed cotton canvas, tubular mil-spec nylon webbing and full grain leather. But supplies are obviously limited so don't miss out.

New designer alert: Meet William Frederick. The Midwest-based label designs, develops and manufactures their clothes in Cleveland. The genderless styles deftly toe the line between workwear and polished, tailored fashion. Take this Japanese-influenced overshirt, cut from deadstock brushed cotton plaid fabric from Japan and finished with oversized pockets and a detachable belt. It feels really modern but still comfortably approachable.

Beat up Vans are always better than a crisp, new pair. This collaboration is kind of like the best of both worlds. These classic Authentic sneakers feature an allover print with details from Jackson Pollock's One: Number 31, 1950—a work in MoMA's permanent collection. The shoes feature details of the artwork not just on the upper canvas but on the soles as well, “to evoke the expansiveness of the work,” according to the museum.

Light up some holiday vibes. Even if you don't have a real tree, your place can smell like you're in a mountain cabin. D.S. & Durga, who makes some of our favorite candles, has made a seasonal scent that mixes pine and cedar for a ruggedly refined aroma. According to the company, they've even managed to capture the essence of “cold ozone and fresh wild air” and mix it into the scent.

We've never seen a ring like this. Miansai's new rope ring is made from sterling silver and is modeled after the twisted chains worn in the '70s. It's light yet doesn't feel precious. In fact, it's reminiscent of the signature maritime grade rope used throughout Miansai's collections.
