Brooks'
New Look

You've got to hand it to Brooks Brothers. For a company that until recently was serving the senior set and blue blood banker types, they've upped their game—first by bringing in Thom Browne for Black Fleece and now extending that smart, updated look into their regular wares. You probably heard about their limited edition Mad Men suit, out today, but you may've missed their new extra slim fit shirts. With all the trappings of a classic Brooks button-down, these are significantly more narrow than their traditional (or even their slim) fit. And they're tailored not just in the chest, but in the waist and shoulders as well for a fit that feels close to custom. Cut in both oxford and broadcloth, we're particularly fond of the bold pencil stripe broadcloth. Trust us. Pull one on, tuck it in and instantly look like you've spent your weekend at the gym.

Extra-slim fit shirt, $79.50; Club stripe slim tie, $75, both at Brooks Brothers

  • Elisha, Daniel and John Brooks were the brothers for whom the company is named.
