Time After Time

With little more than a week before Barack Obama is to be sworn in, the country hasn't been this excited for an incoming president since another stylish set of Democrats moved into the White House back in the '60s. To mark the occasion and commemorate John F. Kennedy's timeless style, Omega has reissued the ultra thin timepiece the man wore during his inauguration on January 20th, 1961. The company crafted a limited run of 261 watches, with the same 18-karat gold casing and slim black crocodile leather strap as the original. Yes, it'll cost you a pretty penny, but then again, it's probably cheaper than a ticket to the inauguration.

$8,250, At Omega, 329 N. Rodeo Dr., Beverly Hills, 310.860.9990

  •  The JFK original,
which was given to him on the campaign trail by his friend Grant Stockdale, was purchased by Omega at auction in 2005 for $350,000 and is now on display at the watchmaker's museum in Biel, Switzerland.
