An Evolution

of a Classic

Adidas introduced Rod Laver's signature shoe in 1970. Developed with the Australian-born tennis pro, the low-profile sneaker has stood the test of time thanks to its understated style. And it doesn't hurt that the shoe is incredibly lightweight and comfortable. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't improve upon a good thing. The iconic shoe has recently gotten some modern tweaks. From a navy and neon yellow colorway and a streamlined perforated vintage style, to a pair cut from melange sweatshirt material and a summer style featuring a breathable canvas upper with a terrycloth interior (ideal for a sockless summer). Japanese retailer United Arrows is releasing a limited edition espadrille version of the Rod Laver this month as well—but these here are a lot easier to get your hands on.
