There's something about this time of year, no matter how old we get, that puts us in the mood to buy school supplies. And topping our list are these throwback backpacks from Jansport's Heritage line. Like any savvy label today, the bag maker has dug into their archives and reissued some of their most popular packs which reflect the outdoor functionality
Hipster duffle, $80and easy-going attitude of a brand founded by two hippies (and a girl named Jan) in the 1960s. The Off Trail rucksack, introduced in 1980 has a drawstring closure and seat belt webbing straps while the Ski & Hike pack has the same simple dual-compartment design as when it debuted in 1969. Not in the market for a backpack? This weathered canvas duffle, originally produced in 1982, makes for a killer weekender with a large U-shaped opening and durable brass hardware.
