The store is located in a former sweater factory and features two vintage pinball machines that are still in working order.

Back in 1998, long before Americana took hold of the style scene, Left Field was on a mission to craft quality clothing here in the States with a focus on durability and authenticity. And for the last fifteen years, they've remained on top of their game. Quite an accomplishment when we consider the state of American menswear at that time. The brand's products reflect the tough-as-nails workwear that defined America's growth—a style of their jeans, the Black Maria, is named after the painted wagon that was used to transport coal miners who had died in the mine in the early 1900s. But their wares aren't simply reproductions of antique goods. Rather, they're the simple, sturdy clothes that appeal to guys of all ages. And founder Christian McCann's craftsmanship is evident in each and every item he designs. Products that, as he puts it, "our grandfathers would be proud of."

The Shop

753 Onderdonk Ave.
Ridgewood, NY
(To schedule an appointment: info@leftfieldnyc.com or 718.366.7308)

Originally launched out of McCann's Brooklyn apartment, Left Field has since grown into a burgeoning lifestyle brand. So what better way to celebrate 15 years than by releasing a winter look book and a new web-shop, while opening a kitted-out appointment-only storefront in Ridgewood, New York? The same vibe that drives the American badass ethos is evident in their vintage motorcycle-laden photography of this season's designs. Olive green twill bombers, 15 oz. denim sourced from Japanese mills and an ultra-comfortable terry crewneck sweatshirt in indigo are just a few of the winter-ready items available. Have we mentioned that every piece is still made in this fine country? Check out the new site, and revel in the attention to detail and high quality, hand-crafted items.
