Filson
Mixes It Up

Filson is a brand that takes pride in doing things the old fashioned way—crafting durable outdoor gear for over a century without ever sacrificing their standards. But that's not to say the Seattle-based brand is adverse to change. The newest additions to their luggage arsenal are bringing the iconic bags into more modern territory. Never ones to mess with what works, all the hallmarks of the originals remain. Spacious, practical interiors? Check. Rust-resistant brass fittings and vegetable-tanned bridle leather straps? Check. But these new mash-up models have been given a stylish shot in the arm. Bags like the Original Sportsman duffle combine Filson's famous tin cloth with a rugged twill top and features inspired by archival hunting jackets. A new backpack offers a handsome take on a classic, complete with a padded computer pocket and comfortable, leather-trimmed straps. Even their simple zip tote got a new blaze orange wrapper. It might be the first case of "they don't make 'em like they used to" being a good thing.
