The New Shoes on Our Radar

The best sneakers to pick up before spring hits

We are a month and some change away from the spring equinox, and man, I’m happy that it’s almost here. With a new season coming up, it’s a great excuse for some new kicks. From hi-tech trekking shoes to an all-canvas shoe inspired by a dog, there’s a lot to like right now. With so many great shoes dropping these days, we thought we’d pull a few of our current favorites to showcase. These are the footwear our team can’t stop talking about.

992 sneaker

New Balance's 992 is one of their essential models and for a very good reason. Taking the “dad sneaker” to the next level, it features heritage styling and maximum comfort with their SBS ABZORB heel cushioning for maximum wearability. Throw these on with a nice luxe fleece set for the days when you don't feel like getting dressed but still want to make a statement.

Zig Kinetica II Edge
trail-inspired sneaker

We've been loving what Reebok has been doing lately, particularly in the hiking shoes department. These trail-inspired shoes are perfect for all seasons—especially right now with all the rain, sleet, snow or slush. A Vibram Ecostep outsole allows for optimal grip and the lace lock gives this shoe an elevated touch. Pair these with whatever tech-inspired garments you have for a modern, athletic look.

Unisex Cloud CVO
deck sneaker

Go ahead and rush the season. There's nothing more classic than a navy canvas sneaker, so why not include the one that started it all. The story goes, founder Paul Sperry developed the world's first non-slip shoe (patterned after his dog's footpads) after slipping on his boat. Besides a great story, it helps whenever style icons endorse your product as well. Need styling tips? Just Google, “JFK on a boat”, and you have your inspiration.

Air Pegasus 83
premium running sneaker

This icy grey colorway with a suede finish is a killer combination. The Pegasus is a legendary sneaker, perfect vintage look, and crazy comfortable—for us, this trifecta makes for a go-to staple every guy should have. Pair these with your old college sweats or some worn-in denim; they can be styled with anything.

UA Old Skool VR3 LX
skateboarding sneaker

Cream colors are one of Valet.'s favorite palettes to choose from and these are no different. The Old Skool debuted in 1977 and is still worn by everyone today no matter the age or demographic, it's literally a timeless silhouette. Style these with some faded black denim or a pair of corduroys for a nice juxtaposing outfit.
